Improvisation (v0.82)
A downloadable Doom 2 mod
Uh oh, stuff is out to kill you, and you don't have any guns! Gotta make use of whatever you can find, and be creative!
Along the way, you can find modifiers for weapons that you can apply with a modifier menu (set a hotkey that brings it up), and swap between two modifiers on the fly with the Zoom key.
Note: Currently, a lot of stuff is still WIP and broken and unbalanced.
Improvisation requires Doom 2 and GZDoom* or LZDoom to play.
*I've run into some bugs on gzdoom that hasn't appeared on lzdoom, YMMV.

I loved Improvisation. A well humored joke wad with an unusual and satisfying arsenal.
Can We Have A Gun-Like Weapon In The Form Of A Nerf Gun?
This mod is like a bunch of childhood friends getting together in the back yard to film a movie with no script. Digitized sprites lay on the charm, and you get a huge variety of combinations to make hell lose in the most hilarious ways possible.

i'm not sure if this is due to something on my end but the console gets spammed with "ACS: unknown is not an inventory item." and "ACS: 'STEP_DEFAULT' : Unknown actor class." every time i scroll through the improvisation menu and fire the light socket respectively
replace the pistol with ammo or something so when if appears in a map or a modded enemy drops it, you don't get a useless weapon
ah. i totally missed this comment, imma note this for the next release.
The bat/club is kinda boss. Had fun with this one! Looking forward to seeing what's next.
Now THIS is real weapon mod.
